Golden Designs is proud to offer the Golden Designs "Toledo" 6-Person Indoor Hybrid Sauna. Featuring our PureTech Full Spectrum Infrared Technology and Harvia Traditional Stove heating options (IR and Stove does not operate at the same time.). The Hybrid unit is also wheelchair accessible. When the benches are removed, the sauna becomes a yoga/stretching studio. Constructed with the environment in mind, our saunas are made with reforested Canadian Hemlock planks that surpass industry standards, thus producing a quality sauna that retains heat more efficiently, heats up faster and uses less energy in the process.
What is an Electromagnetic Field (Also Known as Emf)? An Electromagnetic Field is a physical field produced by electrically charged objects. It is one of the fundamental forces of nature. The field can be viewed as the combination of an electric field and a magnetic field. The electric field is produced by stationary charges and the magnetic field by moving charges referred to as currents. The magnetic field is measured in milligauss (mG). Our sauna products have been developed to have low EMF. Our Low EMF sauna models range between an average of 5mG-10mG at about two inches from the heater panel and our Ultra Low EMF sauna models range between 3mG-5mG at the same approximate distance.

The Best of Both Worlds – Hybrid Saunas
A hybrid sauna is the best choice for versatility, offering both deep-penetrating infrared heat and high-temperature traditional steam in one unit, allowing users to customize their wellness routine. It provides superior muscle recovery, pain relief, and detoxification, making it perfect for households with differing preferences or for those seeking both rapid relaxation and intense sweat.
Hybrid Heating & Health Benefits: Hybrid Saunas feature a hybrid heating system with multiple IR Emitters, including several EMF Heating Panels and Infrared Heating Elements, alongside a Harvia Traditional Sauna Stove. This setup allows you to enjoy the benefits of both full spectrum infrared therapy and traditional sauna heat, promoting relaxation, detoxification, and improved circulation.
Key Reasons to Choose a Hybrid Sauna
- Ultimate Flexibility & Customization: You can switch between or combine infrared (lower heat, deep penetration) and traditional (high heat, humidity) modes.
- Enhanced Health Benefits: Combines the muscle pain relief and joint flexibility of infrared with the cardiovascular and detoxification benefits of traditional heat.
- Optimal Performance Anytime: Infrared panels provide immediate warmth, while traditional heaters can quickly heat up the sauna in colder environments or outdoor settings.
- Increased Relaxation and Mental Health: The combination helps reduce cortisol levels and induces profound relaxation.
- Versatile Design: These units are often compact and designed to be user-friendly, providing a complete 2-in-1 spa experience in a single home space, says Heavenly Heat Saunas.
Drawbacks to Consider
- Higher Initial Cost: They are generally more expensive than single-type saunas, say Nook Saunas.
- Complex Maintenance: With two heating systems, there are more components to maintain.
Hybrid saunas are ideal for users who do not want to choose between the therapeutic benefits of infrared and the traditional sauna experience.
